Step 1
The same thorough assessment is required for all three treatment options. It covers everything needed to diagnose low testosterone and confirm you are suitable for TRT — two blood tests and two GP consultations.
A comprehensive 10+ marker blood panel including: Total & free testosterone · LH · FSH · Prolactin · SHBG · Full Blood Count · Liver function · Lipids · HbA1c · PSA (if over 40)
Only required if your first blood test returns low testosterone. NICE guidelines require two separate low readings to confirm hypogonadism before treatment begins. If your first result is normal, no further testing is needed.

Step 2 is only required if Step 1 shows low testosterone. If your first result is normal, you pay only £149 and no further testing is needed. If treatment is not appropriate for you, you pay only for tests conducted — a maximum of £209.
